W. & C. Scott, London, extremely rare "Premier Quality" 10ga. hammer gun made in 1878. Weight 8 3/4 lbs. Stock dimensions: 14 1/4"x 2"x 3 1/4"x straight. Beautiful 32" Damascus steel barrels with 2 7/8" chambers and BP proofs have brilliant bores (.784"/.785"), recess choked .012"/.018", retain about 85% of the original brown finish. Beautifully engraved action with rebounding hammer bar locks and third fastener. Double triggers and extractors. Traces of the original hardening colors remain. Nicely figured pistol grip stock and splinter forend with skeleton steel butt plate all showing little use. Overall tight as a safe and quite a fine early breech loading water fowler.
