Boss, London, rare pair of 12ga. O/U game guns, ca. 1929-31. Each gun weighs approximately 6lbs. 6oz. and both guns have the same measurements, 15"x 1 3/8"x 2 1/4"x straight. Both have perfect 28" ribless steel barrels with original 2 1/2" chambers and both sets choked .008"/.012". All bores are brilliant measuring .733" to .735" and retaining 100% of the original black finish. Actions and locks retain most of the original hardening colors and show no wear whatsoever. Boss single triggers and automatic safetys. Highly figured straight grip stocks and forends with very short extensions and original leather covered pads all retaining the original finish. The whole set comes cased in the original leather motor case with original canvas outer cover and accessories. Boss records show that the first gun was made in 1929 and the second gun made to the exact same specifications to form the pair in 1931 and a Boss & Co. letter confirming that accompanies the guns. Original pairs of Boss O/U's are great rarities and overall this superb set remains in little used original condition. Unlikely you will find a better pair offered for sale.
