Holland and Holland, London, classic magnum Mauser big game rifle in .375 H&H Magnum on a rare take down action, ca. Pre-WWII. Weight: 9 lbs. Stock: 14 LOP over a modern rubber butt pad. Superb 25 barrel with brilliant bore, three folding leaf rear sights, and hinged hood front sight. 1 1/2x5 long eye-relief Leupold scope on fenestrated mounts so that on the open sights are visible with scope mounted on the gun. Most of the original finish remains throughout. I have owned this rifle personally for many years and have found it to be the most accurate British big game rifle I have ever put to my shoulder. The previous owner used it to good effect on many elephant in Africa and added the scope due to failing eyesight in his old age. Overall an extraordinary pre-war take down Mauser rifle in very fine condition and even has the original untouched spare front sight stowed in the pistol grip compartment. |
