Robert Ruark (1915–1965) ranks in the minds of most discerning readers as the finest outdoor writer ever to grace the American literary scene. Jim Casada condensed this monumental work, and though the book covers all of Ruark’s life, it primarily focuses on the years when Ritchie was in Ruark’s employ.
