Merkel Model 280/360 small bore SxS shotgun, original 2 barrel set, in 28ga. and .410ga. Weight 5 lbs. 2 oz. with the 28ga. barrels. Stock dimensions: 14" x 1"x 2 5/8" x 1/8" cast-off. Both sets of barrels are 28" long. The 28ga. set has 2" chambers choked IC/M and is marked with a gold inlaid "1" on the top rib extension. The .410ga. set has 3" chambers with chokes of M/F and has a gold inlaid "2" on the rib extension. Engraved, case hardened, action with Greener cross-bolt third fastener, bushed firing pins, ejectors, double triggers, and automatic safety. Figured straight grip stock with composition butt plate and splinter forend. This fine set is in mint, unfired, original condition throughout and comes in the original maker's case. We have the original boxes for both the gun and the case. About the nicest small bore gun for the money that you could ask for. |
