Alvin Linden, Wisconsin, magnificent vintage custom Mauser action sporting rifle in .358 Winchester. Weight 9 1/2 lbs. 13 1/2" LOP. Superb 23" Douglas barrel with 100% original finish and absolutely mint bore. Flawlessly deep relief engraved floor plate, trigger guard, and pistol grip cap with a stunning raised and highly sculpted 24K gold inlay in the floor plate all of which is almost certainly the work of renowned artist, Arnold Griebel. Classic 4X Stith scope on G&H quick detachable side mounts. Also fitted with a Lyman 48 rear sight and integral ramp front sight. Dramatically grained and flawlessly checkered and finished curly maple stock with checkered steel butt plate, all the work of Alvin Linden who was by all accounts undeniably one of the greatest stockmaker's of all time. Featured on the cover of "Precision Shooting Magazine" (see photos), this magnificent rifle comes in it's own vintage custom trunk case and is, quite likely, the finest American rifle you will ever have the opportunity to own.
