James Purdey, London, magnificent, consecutively numbered, matched pair of Ken Hunt engraved 12ga. O/U sidelock sporting guns, ca. 1989. Both guns weigh 7 1/2 lbs. and measure 14 5/8"x 1 3/8"x 2 3/8"x straight. Both barrel sets are 28" with original 2 3/4" chambers and full length ventilated top ribs. Mint bores, (.732"/.733"), (.732"/.730"). Each barrel set is provided with a complete set of Briley screw-in chokes. Beautiful deep relief engraved actions and locks by legendary artist, Ken Hunt. Single triggers and ejectors. Highly figured, matching, straight grip stocks and forends with original, 3/4" thick, leather covered butt pads. Provided with the original maker's motor case along with an original oak and leather case, each of which contains a complete complement of choke tubes, tools, and accessories. Overall about as elegant and fine a pair of Purdey O/U's as you will ever have the opportunity to own and offered well below replacement cost.
