Precio: EUR 5500,-
Remington, Model 1889, Grade 2, 16ga. hammer gun. Weight: 6 3/4 lbs. Stock dimensions: 13 7/8"x 1 3/4"x 2 7/8"x straight. Superb 30" Fine Twist steel barrels with bright bores (.675"/.673"), choked .028"/.027", retain 100% of the original finish. Bores are brilliant but have a few minor isolated areas of extremely light pitting and wall thickness is good (.030"/.028"). Action and rebounding hammer, bar locks retain most of the original hardening colors with trigger guard retaining much of the original finish as well. Nicely figured semi-pistol grip walnut stock and splinter forend retain 100% of the original finish and show no evidence of use whatsoever. Original composition butt plate with detailed Remington shield remains in mint condition. This superb little 16ga. American double is built on a lightweight action and, according to Charles Semmer in his excellent book, "The Remington Double Shotgun", it is rare bordering on unique. Overall in virtually unused original condition and not likely you will ever see another Model 1889, 16ga. this nice offered for sale.
