Holland & Holland, London, superb matched, consecutively numbered, pair of 12ga.,"Modele de Luxe", "Royal Hammerless Ejector", lightweight game guns, ca. 1968. Both guns weigh approximately 6 lbs. 8 oz. Stock dimensions of both guns: 14"x 1 3/8"x 2 1/2"x 1/8" cast-off. Barrel dimensions are as follows: Gun #1 28" chopper lump with original 2 3/4" chambers and mint bores (.731"/.731"), choked .007"/.016", wall thickness .028"/.027".Gun #2 28" chopper lump with original 2 3/4" chambers and mint bores (.732"/.732"), choked .022"/.029", wall thickness .030"/.029".Best self-opening actions with beautiful bold engraving and deeply chiseled breech bosses typical of the Holland "Modele de Luxe". Hand detachable bar-action side locks, ejectors, double triggers, and automatic safety's. Highly figured straight grip stocks with checkered butts and splinter forends. These magnificent guns, retaining virtually all their original finish, remain in little used original condition throughout and come in their original separate leather cases with all the original accessories.
