Best 12ga. sidelock rebounding hammer gun ca. 1890. Weight: 6 lbs. 7 oz. 14 1/2" x 1 1/2" x 2 1/2" x 1/4" cast-off. Superb 29 1/2" Damascus barrels with 2 1/2" chambers, nitro-proofed for 1 1/8 oz. shot have absolutely mint bores (.729"/.732" ) choked cyl/.025" with good wall thickness (.025" minimum) and 100% rebrown finish. Fully engraved action bright with no remaining hardening color but no significant wear. Nicely figured straight grip stock and splinter forend beautifully refinished. Checkering untouched and no proud metal. Original checkered horn butt plate remains in near mint condition. Overall tight as new and a wonderful little game gun almost impossible to find today in this condition. |
