Beautiful reproduction of a genuine British game counter also referred to affectionately as a "Norfolk Liar". These were carried in the field around the turn of the century by English gentlemen to keep a running tally of the day's bag of game. The four ratcheting dials (two on either side) are marked partridges, pheasants, hares, and rabbits. Hand made by us in brass, silver plated brass, and blued steel, our reproductions are absolutely indistinguishable from the originals which are quite rare today fetching prices of up to $900 when they can be found. One of the photos shows our reproduction next to an old original -- can you tell them apart? Measuring just 2 1" x 1 1" x 1" these little gems are the perfect gift for the man who has everything.
